VISION PLAYERS READ TO CHILDREN AT SHELTERING ARMS IN DULUTH
Full Description:
Atlanta Vision, Atlanta's professional basketball team in Gwinnett and the Suwanee Kiwanis Club visited children ages 2 to 4 at the Sheltering Arms in Duluth to participate in their Read a Book Program.
The Suwanee Kiwanis Club volunteer each Thursday to deliver donated food and read to the little children. Their philosophy is "Helping Children" and this year will also work with Sheltering Arms during the Week of a Young Child in April. Kiwanis member, Travis Burroughs partnered with Atlanta Vision players to bring smiles and books to the children.
"Atlanta Vision is also committed to serve and build a healthier community through outreach," explains Vision Director of Community Outreach Lisa Patterson. "Our players reading and interacting with the younger kids is beneficial for both."
