New Local Irish Sports Pub Celebrates Its Debut Beginning on Halloween
October 24, Suwanee – This Halloween, Suwanee residents will be seeing a ghostly shade of GREEN! O’Dwyer’s Irish Sports Pub opens its doors to local ghouls, goblins, witches and werewolves on Friday, October 31st for the official start of their Launch Party Weekend. Located at 3890 Lawrenceville-Suwanee Road, right next door to Suwanee’s Town Center Park – O’Dwyer’s hopes to bring a touch of Ireland to Suwanee’s restaurant and bar scene. The owners of O’Dwyer’s – The Linkowski Family – are always up for a party and they felt this was a perfect way to unveil their new concept – all weekend long. Charlene Linkowski, a Boston native and Irish descendent, is excited to introduce this fun Irish twist on the sports bar concept to the citizens of Gwinnett. “O’Dwyer is a family name - and my grandfather loved a good time and a GREAT cocktail,” laughs Charlene. “I know he’ll be smiling down from Heaven to know that we offer full bar and 20 beers on tap in his name.”
The weekend kicks off with the first annual O’Dwyer’s Halloween Party on Friday, October 31st. There will be a costume contest with prizes – $100 for 1st place, $50.00 for 2nd and $25.00 for 3rd. A DJ will be cranking out the tunes for the better part of the evening – so guests should be prepared to dance the Monster Mash all night long. On Saturday, November 1st, the fun continues with a Tail Gate Party before the Georgia Bulldogs take the field in another legendary match-up against the Florida Gators. Both Dawg and Gator fans are welcome to watch the big game on any one of our 40 HD, wide-screen and plasma TVs throughout the restaurant. A DJ will get the party started before kickoff, and celebrate with the victors after the last play of the game on into the night. Door prizes will be awarded throughout the game and drink specials include $3.00 shooters. On Sunday, November 2, O’Dwyer’s will play host to NFL football watching all afternoon and evening.
